Proper infestation treatment requires building material to be removed exposing entire hive; transfer of bees including queen to relocation box; then honeycomb (brood pollen, nectar, and honey) scrapped out returning void space to pre infestation.  No worries, The health of the bees are extremely important and we always ensure the removal is done in a way that is the least stressful on them!
